Specific to this house
- By far our most keenly priced option for couples and smaller families, mainly just because it has no log fire (flue not structurally possible).
- Cosy but not pokey - plenty of space.
- Refurbished in 2007.
- Widescreen TV.
- Southeast-facing windows let in plenty of light.
- Luxury leather seating and wacky handmade curtains in the living room.
- Cast-iron stove (electric, looks like coal) in sitting room; a wood-burning stove is impossible because there is nowhere in this house to put a flue. If we can find a solution, we will.
- Solid oak dining table.
- Top quality Kaldewei bath with handles, spacious with a flat non-slip standing area for using the over-bath shower.
- There is a futon chair-bed in the sitting room which can be used as an extra bed if absolutely necessary, but it would have to be put away every day in order to use the living room, so it is an inconvenient arrangement for guests. We therefore don't advertise the cottage as sleeping up to 5, unlike some self-catering operators!
